Awards & Recognition
A key component of our Today Choose Gratitude program is our promise to “recognize and thank” nurses who go above and beyond their call of duty. Through the Nurses Care Hub Heroes Award, we want to recognize and acknowledge outstanding nurses in different roles and settings.
The Nurses Care Hub Heroes Award program is designed to complement local recognition programs while shining a light on nurses who demonstrate significant and long-term contributions to the nursing field through compassionate care, professional excellence, and community service.
Here’s how it works:
Nurses Care Hub will recognize nurse heroes every May, and their stories will be included in a collection of heroes profiles. From this collection, Nurses Care Hub will appoint a selection committee to review the nominations received online.
The selection committee will choose up to three individuals to receive the Nurses Care Hub Heroes Award. Each award recipient will receive a custom digital mural created specifically for the award, a complimentary Nurses Care Hub Master Class, and their story will be included on the Nurses Care Hub website.
Beginning today, we are launching the 2022 Nurses Care Hub Heroes Call for Submissions. We are seeking submissions from hospitals, facilities, individuals, and nurses that highlight the compelling ways the chosen nurse embodies Compassionate Care and Service Excellence.
Submissions
The final deadline for submissions is 5:00 p.m. CST on April 18, 2022.
Nurses Care Hub Heroes should be a full-time nurse or nursing student. Nurses should have at least one year of experience as of April 18, 2022. Nurses who do not meet the criteria will not be eligible for consideration.
Criteria:
- Compassionate Care
Places high-quality care to patients, their families, each other, and the community. - Service Excellence
Places focus on teamwork and the needs of their colleagues.
(Examples include where a colleague went above their job requirements to help a patient, a fellow nurse in need, or demonstrated their commitment to helping the community.)
The award recipient will be announced on May 6, 2022. The online nomination period begins on February 24, 2022. All entries are verified for membership eligibility.
Rules
To nominate a nurse, you must be an active member of Nurses Care Hub.
Note: If you nominate more than one person, you must submit a separate application for each nomination.
